The platter is the ultimate Motorship ritual. Sea bream or sea bass, anchovies, sardine, mussels, calamari, prawns, potatoes and sauce: everything arranged on a large platter that arrives at the table like a spectacle. It is the dish people photograph, talk about back home and come back for.

It is the most ordered dish for groups. Every summer evening, we see at least 10 platters leaving the kitchen. It is the dish that makes eyes widen.

Our gyros is not fast food. The meat is prepared in the morning, marinated with Greek herbs and slowly roasted on the rotisserie for hours. It is served with fries, tzatziki, fresh tomatoes and onion: on a plate, not in foil. At Motorship, gyros is treated with respect.

The octopus is cooked slowly, very slowly, until the meat becomes silky. Then it goes on the olive-charcoal grill for those perfect marks and smoky aroma. It is served with Thassos olive oil and a touch of balsamic vinegar. Absolute simplicity, absolute flavour.

Fresh mussels in an aromatic white wine, garlic and parsley sauce. They arrive in a deep bowl, and the unwritten rule is simple: do not leave a drop of sauce. Take warm bread, tear it and clean the bowl. That is how mussels are eaten in Greece.

Sea bream is the queen of the Greek grill. At Motorship, you choose it from the fresh fish display. We weigh it together, and in 20 minutes it is on your table: grilled over fire, with fresh lemon and olive oil. Nothing else. It needs nothing else.

The most requested fish, day after day. White, delicate, tasty flesh. A medium portion of 300-400g costs about €18-24.

The only dessert on the Motorship menu, and not by chance. Portokalopita is the traditional Greek dessert: thin filo sheets soaked in orange syrup, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The warm-cold, sweet-citrus contrast is perfect.

Why it is Top 10

The only dessert, but enough. 90% of tables end with portokalopita. It is the perfect finale.
