Road tips
- Buy the Bulgarian vignette online before departure (bgtoll.bg). It costs around 15€ / 7 days.
- Fill up in Bulgaria — fuel is 20-30% cheaper than in Greece.
- Makaza border crossing is usually quick, without long queues. Avoid Kulata on weekends.

If this is your first time and you want frequency, take the Keramoti ferry (35 min, 30 trips/day) and drive along the west coast to Skala Maries. If you want the shortest drive on the island, take the Kavala ferry to Prinos, then only 20 km to us. If you are already on the island, simply ask Google Maps for "Taverna Motorship".

Free parking on sand, next to the beach, a few steps from the taverna. There are also places on the side streets under the olive trees, 2-3 minutes on foot. The area is safe.
